Jigoku 6

Overall

Some of her best work yet. It feels so much more personal than anything else that came before it.

Tracklist

  1. Carousel: Reol killed it here, really hope Mori gets to collab with her again some day
  2. Future Island: Feels wildly out of place on this album, but judging it in a vacuum it's pretty good compared to her other promo songs and I'm happy she got to work with a show she loves that much
  3. Black Sheep: Like with Nezumi Scheme I really appreciate getting to see Mori draw and animate the MV for this, especially since it's much more personal to her.
  4. Six Feet Under: Pure audial chaos in the best way possible. Especially the drum solo near the end, holy shit
  5. You're Not Special: Can't say I'm a fan of the autotune but otherwise it's a banger, she sounds legitimately pissed in the third chorus
  6. Left for Dead Lullaby: It feels like Mori channeled something primal into this song. Not just anguish or misery but an emotion beyond that. Something we don't even have a word for.
